LeBoeuf Little League

The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building.

The Meeting was called to order at 8:45pm by President, Garry Sargent.

ATTENDANCE: Bob Young, Ed Vorpagel, Steve Lesik, Greg Roberts, Stuart Carr, mark Lockhart, Jeff Kuzma, Steve Krolczyk, Brian Mitchell, Michael Falk, Darlene Haibach, Garry Sargent, Mike Herring, Brian Webster, Rick Dauson, Rob Brooks, Mark, McNerney, Colleen Strain

SECRETARY: The minutes were read, corrections made and Ed Vorpagel motioned to accept, seconded by Greg Roberts.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Report was read by Darlene Haibach and approved by Mike Falk and seconded by Brian Mitchell. See attached report.

SPECIAL PROJECTS: Colleen reported as of tonight’s meeting, there have been 7,569 Strombolis sold; money still outstanding from a few teams. The Strombolis will be handed out May 16 at the Waterford Elementary School.

PICTURE COMMISSIONER: Mike Herring stated there needs to be a custodian available to LLL during picture day as LLL is paying for their service. There was no charge for the recent picture day as there was no custodian at the school that day.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: No new reports

SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: Ed reported everything is going well. No problems.

BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: No report in Mark Rose’s absence.

CHALLENGER DIVISION COMMISSIONER: Heather stated everything is going well, however the first game was cancelled due to inclement weather.

UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: Greg Roberts reported the umpiring clinic went well; about 30 kids were in attendance. He said the new umpires are doing well. The umpire shirts have been ordered. The payment for umpiring is $20 each for the field and plate.

TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: Major boys have a tournament in Dunkirk. Garry stated as he received information regarding the tournaments, he passes the information along to the proper division coaches. For Districts, there will be 9 & 10 year old boys, 11 &12 year old boys and Junior boys going. Also, 9 & 10 year old, Minor and Major girls.

SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No new updates

UNIFORM COMMSSIONER: Brian Smith reported all uniforms have been dispersed and none withheld.

EQUIPMENT COMMISSIONER: Greg Roberts stated LLL needs to purchase 6 landscape rakes, as every field should have 2 rakes available. Stuart Carr said his father will get the grass seed for Complex Fields 1 and 2. Jeff Kuzma will speak with Chris Gradler to see if Summit Township can disperse the pile of dirt at Summit to be spread on the Summit fields.

FIELD MAINTENANCE: Ed Vorpagel compiled a list of 2009 purchases for LLL. See attached.

INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Darlene stated the balance will be paid in June.

OLD BUSINESS: No report.

NEW BUSINESS: No new reports.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Stuart Carr and seconded Brian Mitchell to adjourn the meeting at 10:15pm.
